What does "VAT-inclusive" vs "VAT-exclusive" mean and which should I pick?
- VAT-inclusive: the price you set IS the price the customer pays. VAT is mathematically backed out on the receipt for transparency. Most PH coffee shops use this.
- VAT-exclusive: the price is pre-tax. Receipt adds VAT on top. Customer pays price + VAT. Common in B2B but unusual for retail food.
- Pick VAT-inclusive if your menu board says "₱150" and the customer hands you ₱150 flat. Pick VAT-exclusive if the menu shows "₱134 + 12% VAT".
- Toggle in Settings → Business → Tax section.
