How do I price a product — what fields do I fill in?
- Inventory → Products → click the product.
- Price = what the customer pays. Always inclusive of VAT if you have VAT-inclusive turned on (default in PH). Exclusive if VAT-exclusive.
- If VAT-inclusive: receipt shows price as-is, and VAT is broken out in the bottom-line breakdown automatically.
- If VAT-exclusive: receipt shows price + a separate VAT line at the bottom.
- Cost field (optional) = what YOU paid for the product. Used for P&L margin calculation.

Price updates immediately at POS. Cost shows in Reports → P&L.
