How do Senior Citizen / PWD discounts work? Does the system handle the VAT exemption automatically?
- Yes. When the cashier picks Senior or PWD at POS, the system applies the legally-required 20% discount AND marks the sale VAT-exempt.
- On the receipt, you'll see: VAT-EXEMPT stamp, the 20% discount line, and the customer's ID number (cashier must enter it).
- The BIR-friendly tax report (Reports → BIR) breaks out Senior/PWD-exempt sales separately from VATable sales.
- Do not stack a custom discount on top of Senior/PWD — the legal discount stands alone.
