If I don't add a recipe, will the product still ring up?
- Yes. Products without recipes ring up at POS, accept payments, generate receipts — everything works.
- What does NOT work: ingredient stock won't deduct. The product also won't trigger a "sold out" warning if an ingredient runs out.
- If you only track money (not ingredients), skip recipes entirely. Reports work fine without them.
- Recipes are only useful if you want stock-driven decisions: low-stock alerts, automatic sold-out, weighted-average cost on P&L.

Cashier rings the product. Inventory → Ingredients shows no change.
