Can my cashiers give custom discounts? Should I let them?
- Yes. Cashiers can apply a custom % or custom ₱ discount at POS.
- Risk: a generous cashier eats your margin without you noticing. Run Reports → Discount Usage weekly to see who applied what.
- Mitigation: train staff on when discounts are OK (regulars, complaints, last-call discounts at closing time). Make voids/refunds require an admin password if you suspect abuse (future feature).
- Pro tip: set up named promo discounts ("Happy Hour 10%") so the report shows category usage, not just amounts.
